Dog's are life's greatest companions, so why wouldn't you want to bring them along on your greatest adventures? As seasoned Lake Geneva visitors already know, the area offers no shortage of pet-friendly spaces to explore together. So if you're planning a trip or weekend getaway up to Lake Geneva, here is a closer look at some pet-friendly destinations that are fun for both you and the four-legged part of your household.
Go To White River Dog Park
You've probably been to a dog park before. But have you ever been to White River Dog Park? This unique outdoor area stands apart from the average park space. The local municipality has done an excellent job of maintaining its expansive grassy area, as well as outfitting the land with amenities like a water fountain, bone-shaped benches, bag stations, and shaded areas. The best part? All dogs are welcome here. Just make sure your pet is registered, and they'll be able to run and play off-leash in Lake Geneva's official dog park.
Walk Geneva Lake Shore Path
This next spot is equally enjoyable between humans and pets. Geneva Lake Shore Path takes pedestrians on a journey through the area's iconic waterfront, with stops to admire historic estates, massive landscapes along the way. While you may appreciate the significance of these 19th century homes, fido will likely be more interested in the sights and smells along the way. At two miles in length, there's plenty of ground to cover with that little nose. The views here are nothing short of spectacular, so make sure to bring your camera and snap some photos.

Go to Big Foot Beach State Park
Big Foot Beach State Park is an iconic part of Lake Geneva’s shoreline. Located on the north shore, this park offers a wide range of activities for visitors to enjoy. From unique sandstone formations, to wave-washed beaches and the park’s sprawling prairie, the area is a prime spot for swimming, fishing, picnicking, camping and more. The property itself spans a massive 271 acres and includes more than six-and-a-half miles of trails and 100 campsites. Everything is managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, meaning visitors can expect a safe and enjoyable time in the park. Big Foot Beach State Park is open to the public and is also pet-friendly. Bring your dog for a run through the grass, hike the trails, or take a refreshing dip in the lake. It's an ideal spot for a summer day spent outdoors.
Eat at a Dog-Friendly Restaurant
What dining experience would be complete without your furry friend? Dog-friendly restaurants are becoming increasingly popular, allowing you to bring your pup and enjoy a meal together. There are 15 in Lake Geneva, most of which accommodate guests with pets at outdoor tables.
At Simple Café, located along the Riviera Docks, you can eat and drink while admiring the stunning views of Lake Geneva and its beach. Not far away is Barrique, which serves over 70 beers and wines, plus a menu of hummus, cheese plates, and flatbreads. Fiddlesticks Cafe is a super popular spot for breakfast lunch, open Tuesday-Sunday from 7am to 3pm. While rules can vary from restaurant to restaurant, it's generally best to assume you'll be eating outdoors with your pet on a leash at all times.
